The Denison Arts Council - “Strengthing the cultural life of North Texas for over 26 years”.

Philosophy: “Art is an expression of the level of humanity in a community.”

Vision: “The arts will become synonymous with Denison - - to think of one is to automatically think of the other.”

Mission: “To promote, encourage and otherwise develop cultural activities in order to serve the needs of all citizens through participation, exposure and educational opportunities.”

These members of the board serve with distinction to direct the promotional efforts of this organization. Many aspects of the community are represented through these members to bring a varied expertise to the panel. The Denison Arts Council is a non- profit 501c3 organization funded by receipts from the hotel-motel taxes generated by the City, donations from the galleries and artist studios, through funding from local foundations and individuals and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Texas Commission on the Arts
